Have you ever entered a Christmas tree festival?

This year at Crucible we decided to enter the Grenoside Christmas tree festival, and although we didn’t win it was great fun!

The competition this year was amazing. Everyone put in so much effort with each creation looking as good as the next! A massive congratulations to GrenosideGirl Guiding on your win.

The competition was fierce, with trees from businesses across Sheffield including;Slimming world, Mansell Plumbing and heating, St Marks Toddler Group, BetsyRose, Grenoside Bowling Club ETC.

It was so great to see all the different companies in the local community getting together, and lots of money was raised for the following charities:

40% – Grenoside Community Centre

40 % – Grenoside Scout and Guide HQ Extension Fund

10% – ALIVE Specialist Day Care

10% – St. Luke’s Hospice

We’re looking forward to taking part again next year!

You definitely know Christmas is coming if you live in the town of LeGrangeville, New York. The Gay family have long been famous for their Christmas lights display dating back some 20 years, but they have outdone themselves this year in regaining the world record with a mind boggling 601,736 lights on and around their house.
